Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards wanted all the smoke after his team lost Game 4 of their Western Conference semifinal series against the Denver Nuggets.
The Nuggets tied the series at 2-2 after beating the Timberwolves, 115-107, at Target Center in Minneapolis, Minn.
After taking the lead late in the first quarter, the Nuggets never trailed again, leading by as many as 18 points in the contest.
Edwards and Murray were both seen chirping after the final buzzer sounded.
During his postgame news conference, the Timberwolves star was asked about what he told Murray. Edwards said he urged Murray to keep the trash talk on high.

“I just told [him], ‘We love that. Keep talking. That’s what we like.’ Well, I love it," Edwards told reporters. "He didn’t say nothing back, but I’m pretty sure he heard me. They heard me. We live for that."

Edwards finished with a game-high 44 points on 16-of-25 shooting from the field. But he didn’t get much help from his teammates. No other Timberwolves player scored more than 15 points in the loss.
The Nuggets received an MVP-level performance from Nikola Jokic, who tallied 35 points, seven rebounds and seven assists. Aaron Gordon had a near-perfect scoring outing with 27 points on 11-of-12 shooting. Murray logged 19 points and eight assists.
